Saturday Sewing Camps
Sewing Level: Recommended for Beginners & Intermediate
Come join us for a fun and educational sewing lessons! This is a great workshop for kids & teens in a neighborhood friendly environment. Did you know sewing can help kids develop fine motor skills, improve focus and concentration and teaches the importance of patience and self-control. Sewing also support the development of confidence and self-esteem. Sewing is a great life skill to have for anyone.
Learning Objectives: Learn the fundamentals of sewing using a sewing machine while learning different sewing techniques, (techniques may vary depending on the project and student(s) ability to follow along). Student will start and complete a sewing project by end of this course.
- Learn how to use sewing machine
- Learn how to use different sewing tools
- Learn different types of stitches, (top stitch, edge stitch, & etc)
- Learn how to sew straight and curve lines
- Learn how to trace pattern and cut fabric (depending on age and group size of the class)
- Select fabric from our fabric library
- Learn how to sew different techniques (depending on sewing project)
- Sew Final Project
Ages: 9-17 years old
Duration: 4-6 hours
Location: Issaquah Highlands
November 1 Day Camp: Saturday 11/15, 10am - 2pm
December 2 Day Camp: Saturday 12/6 & 12/13, 10am - 1pm
Group Lesson Price: $275 including sewing materials and tools. Maximum of 4 students per class. Class may be canceled or shortened if we have fewer than 2 students registered for class.
What to bring: Lunch, Bottle water/ clear drink & light snack. Please avoid any sort of nuts as some student(s) may have food nut allergies.
DISCLAIMER: We allow students to work at their own pace and never rush to finish a project. There is always a possibility students may not complete the sewing project during the duration of his/her class/workshop.
